The MLB Free Agent forecast looks like an array of changes with a chance of the biggest contract in MLB history. Here are my predictions on the Top 10 MLB free-agent destinations. Top 10 based on Mark Feinsand's Top 10 list.

1. RHP/DH SHOHEI OHTANI
- Current Team: Los Angeles Angels
-Prediction: Los Angeles Angels
This is not biased. I just don't personally see Ohtani leaving Anaheim. He was open about wanting to stay with the Halos at the trade deadline and in a recent Instagram post, he hints ( a huge reach) to stay with the team. The Angels are a team willing to pay him as much as possible in order to keep him. But it's no surprise all 29 other teams are willing to either. With his focus on staying at the deadline, I'm not surprised if that strides into free agency.
2. CF/1B CODY BELLINGER
-Current Team: Chicago Cubs
-Prediction: San Francisco Giants
There's no chance Belli stays in the Windy City, the Cubs front office doesn't seem to be all in on a contract worth more than 3 years, and I'm assuming Bellinger wants a 5-7-year contract elsewhere. I wouldn't be surprised to see Bellinger return to the West Coast with the Giants. Although it's not a win-now situation in San Francisco, it's a step in the right direction.
3. 3B MATT CHAPMAN
-Current Team: Toronto Blue Jays
-Prediction: Los Angeles Dodgers
For a team ready to bring in a new arsenal every season, it's no surprise they add a gold-glove caliber infielder into the mix. Chapman is an excellent fit for the Dodgers who can use an upgrade at third and shortstop. Chapman being from Victorville, CA, and attending Cal State Fullerton wouldn't surprise me wanting some sort of homecoming.
4. LHP BLAKE SNELL
-Current Team: San Diego Padres
-Prediction: Los Angeles Angels / Dodgers
The probable NL Cy Young will not stay in San Diego. Why? I just don't see it. He wants to stay on the West Coast and Angels will pay him. This only happens if the Angels do not retain Shohei Ohtani. If the Angels do retain him, he will go to the Dodgers where they can add another ace, to continue to add to their arsenal.
5. LHP JOSH HADER
-Current Team: San Diego Padres
-Prediction: San Diego Padres
With Snell leaving, the Padres will do what they can to retain one of the game's best relievers. There's no doubt the Padres throw Hader an Edwin Diaz-like contract to get him to stay and keep San Diego's playoff hopes alive.
6. RHP AARON NOLA
-Current Team: Philadelphia Phillies
-Prediction: Philadelphia Phillies
With the Phillies' playoff run looking phenomenal, there's no shot he wants to leave in free agency when playoff hopes will stay consistent in Philadelphia. The Phillies will do what they can to retain a roster making a run for a title, and having one of your top pitchers walk will break that.
7. LHP EDUARDO RODRIGUEZ
-Current Team: Detroit Tigers / Signed 5-year Extension
8. RHP LUCAS GIOLITO
-Current Team: Cleveland Guardians
-Prediction: Los Angeles Dodgers
After a rough second half, I'm sure Giolito would like to play for a contender. And what better than a contender recently known to "fix pitchers". Like we say with his ex-teammates Lance Lynn and Tyler Anderson. He is needed at a better shot, and the pitching staff has what it takes to put Giolito back on his feet.
9. LHP JORDAN MONTGOMERY
-Current Team: Texas Rangers
-Prediction: Texas Rangers
After being traded to Texas, Montgomery has been an absolute stud on the mound to close off the regular season and continues to dominate in the playoffs. The Rangers are making a run for a championship and he's one of those to help them get there. The Rangers (like the Phillies) will do what is possible to retain such a hefty lineup and roster.
10. RHP YOSHINOBU YAMAMOTO
-Current Team: Orix Buffaloes
-Prediction: New York Mets
The next Japanese phenom-free agent will join the New York Mets. He shares an agent with the Met's own Kodai Senga. The Japanese connection between Yamamoto and Senga and the Big Apple's big bucks to spend this offseason after getting off the contracts (or some of the contracts) of Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer are enough to get to sign Yamamoto. Although I'd love to see him in a Halos uniform.
